If theres one thing I’ve learned from our days in Greece it’s how amazing the sea is. The crystal clear waters surrounding the country is just breathtakingly beautiful. Domez Noruz arranged for us to go on a boat trip from Chania harbour in this luxorius speedboat. The two George’s took us around some of the islands, telling us the stories of the natural parks and the German WW2 planes that has crashed in the water, one of them on so shallow ground that we’re able to dive around it. It was such a special experience, it was only a part of the plane that has remained, but you know saw how the ghostly shell habitated all kinds of sea life, like it was reborn. Incredible. I’ll say it again, don’t miss this experience if your paths are crossing Crete!

We had the joy of exploring the beautiful historic city of Chania. As a sucker for fairytales and rom-coms, the history of Crete and Chania was right up my alley. Kidnapping the love of your live, mythical creatures, greek mythology and tons of love. We walked through the tiny alleys, saw the remaining parts of the old wall which was protecting the city 500 years ago.
We walked down these amazing old steps and reached the harbour just in time for the sunset, talk about perfect timing huh? If you are ever considering visiting Crete you should definately swing by Chania. The city is perfect to visit for a little shopping, they have all the high street favorites, but we really enjoyed all the small boutiques selling cheramics, jewelry, honey and olive oil. We even found our friendship anklets and matching necklaces, LTMJ-BFF!
